Having pictures at the top of your site will make it feel much more personal, and make it seem more like it belongs to your group. Here are some guidelines for creating those pictures:
- If you don't have a slideshow at the top when the site goes online, you will have to contact Peter when you are ready to put some up (he has to activate the feature).
- You can edit the pictures yourself or just send originals to Peter. If you are going to edit the pictures yourself, here are the guidelines:
- The images must be at least 950 pixels wide. Wider is OK, but it won't show up. Exactly 950 pixels will.
- The images should be between 100 and 200 pixels high. Under 100 is just too short, over 200 takes up a lot of space.
- These images should be photos, so they should be stored as jpegs. If you're sending them to Peter any format is OK.
- Upload the images using Joomla's image uploader (it's under Site -> Media Manager) into the "slideshow" folder.
- If you are going to send the pictures to Peter, just send them in original size.
